Welcome to my European Food, Wine and History Travel Blog,

Daniel Abad - Your Personal Travel Companion & Tour Planner
In collaboration with Craig Mathieson and his friendly team at Experience Travel & Cruise Toowoomba, I am launching my brand new Travel Blog named "Daniel’s European Food, Wine & History Tours".  This blog will tell you all about my travels, the places I will visit with my clients, the historical significance of these locations and of course the culinary delights of each of the places that you will discover during my journeys.

Le Pont du Gard - Roman Era Aqueduct
You will share with me the special moments, the wonderful restaurants, the visits to the many wineries, and places of interest such as perfumeries, cheese-making operations, local markets etc…

La Maison de la Truffe et du Vin  - Ménerbes

The Molinard Perfume Museum - Grasse
My current Gourmet Tours are currently run around the French Riviera and Provence where most of my family lives.  You will visit cities such as Nice, the jewel of the French Riviera; Grasse, the perfume capital of the world; Aix en Provence, a place famous for its Art and Cultural events but also smaller towns like Moustiers Sainte Marie, Barjols, Gordes, Ménerbes, and Beaucaire.

Gordes
You will enjoy cheese degustations at a goat’s cheese farm and learn all about its traditional cheese-making techniques that will take you right back to an era that is almost forgotten today. You will visit a number of wineries in the Bandol, Cassis, Aix en Provence and Côtes du Rhone regions and discover the wineries’ ethos and philosophy with the wine-makers themselves. There will also be a whole range of exciting activities such as Market days at Barjols and St Remy de Provence.  A visit to an olive oil mill; a Foie Gras demonstration and a cooking class will also feature in the blog.

I would love to hear from you and find out if you, your family and/or friends would like to go on such a journey with me.  I can organise a specially tailored Tour just for your group and would love to take you along on a discovery travel that promises to be an unforgettable experience of a lifetime.
